All About Digital Camera Batteries
Obviously a digital camera will never run without batteries. You're not supposed to leave home for your trip without at least spare ones in your bag because hands down, camera are capable of using your battery power in such a short time. You will want to make sure you have spare ones ready in case your old dies on you while you are in the process of documenting momentous occasions in your life. There is nothing worse than to wander through an unfamiliar city in search of batteries for your camera.
Camera batteries are divided into two classes - the AA batteries and specialty in your camera when you bought it. Both groups have their own advantages and disadvantages. If you're still hunting for a good digital camera, the type of battery it requires, one of your major considerations.
The proprietary batteries are relatively compact and lighter than the AA ones. The good thing about these batteries is that they all come with the device, and they are rechargeable which means you do not need to be on a constant hunt for good functional batteries to replace your broken. All you have to do is plug your camera into a charger and wait until the battery fully charged. The only drawback can be experienced when you carry a spare battery or a replacement battery to buy. Proprietary batteries are usually more expensive.
NiMH batteries usually come in ownership and lion species. Lion Battery are quite popular these days because they are lighter and are unaffected by what is called the memory effect. This refers to a rechargeable battery decline in production and the ability to store energy due to overload or charging before the batteries completely flat.
AA batteries, on the other hand, more affordable, but expects the battery change in just a few hours. The disposable alkaline batteries are very cheap and if you are planning your trip to enjoy without the hassle of the batteries after a few hours is not never use them.
There are rechargeable alkaline that you probably can use, so you do not have to keep on buying fresh ones. The disadvantage is that the battery can be recharged to be limited - an average of 25 single charge and you are going to have to throw them away. Every time you take your batteries, deteriorating their power so after a few charge cycles, expect the performance drop significantly.
Your choice of digital camera and battery will depend on how long you plan to use the camera. For example, if you do not use it a lot, then AA could develop for you. Just always make sure to bring additional ones.
