ccd infrared camera sony
How can I outfit my D-SLR to take infrared photos?
I have a Sony A-100 and I'm just slightly more interested in infrared photography. I am thinking of picking up a cheap Minolta 5D, so I can use the same lenses. I have read you the mirror plate from the CCD and an infrared filter to use a D-SLR to get that effect. How do I go about doing that. Even if I mirror, which is irreversible? I do not mind carring around 2 cameras or is there another camera that it is easier to outfit?
Here are some links that should help you. http://www.lifepixel.com/IR.htm http://www.kleptography.com/notes-irconvert.htm http://spencerscamera.com/default.aspx As you can see, only one switch includes Sony, but is not mentioned Minolta (DSLR-A100, DSLR-A200, DSLR-A350, DSLR-A700). I had a My old Nikon D100 converted and the auto-adjusted to optimize focus using the 24-85mm f/2.8 (as you know, the IR light focuses at a point other than the RGB light rays). I have an old D200 and will do the same with her and sell the old D100. Technology continues to march on. You will not touch the mirror at all, but if you want to reverse the process? From LIfe Pixel: Is this permanent or can the camera back to the original converted? Every time you decide you want the camera to simply send the original to us and we put convert it back to normal for 1 / 2 the price of your original conversion ..
