But I use a good filter-i 2 cuttings of crops, unexposed film roll, and held them together for the lenses. and yes, all images grainy, but thats how the cameras are.
Honestly, what do you think? *** "What the camera has a better IR blocking filter?" If you to do IR photography, you need a camera that not a good UV-filter blocks. Neither shall be good for IR because there is no reliable way to use a filter with them. Older P & S cameras bridge with the best thread on the lens. Point your TV remote at your camera to determine how sensitive it is to IR.
