Review of the Cuddeback No Flash Camera
I took a Cuddeback No Flash for a test, and used for a few months. This is one product that comes in a slightly higher in price than other Cuddeback cameras, but it has some properties that distinguish it from the rest of the lineup Cuddecback.
Things I like about camera
First, the name is a bit of a misnomer. In my opinion they should find another name for this device. The reason is that not really have a flash. Call it the Better Flash or something. What I am saying is that the camera uses a 3.0 megapixel camera that day's take pretty good pictures. This level of resolution is reasonable sufficient, even if you want to blow the photos or crop them. Not many people do blow up their photos of their field cameras yet, but if you did it will be possible with the most shots this camera. When the camera takes pictures at night enters a 1.3 megapixel camera that uses an infrared flash. This flash is a great advantage, because they do not scare the animals you are trying to capture on camera. The quality of the pictures taken at night are very good, they good enough for you to see what you want. Flash range is thirty meters, not bad for most applications. The camera will day and night video clips, although the quality only fair is. If you're like me, you will not find much use for video yet, they just take the memory on the SD card and do not give much more information.
The trigger time on a trail camera is very important. If you trigger a time to slow it will either get a less-than-ideal angle of the animal or animals you may have to right the image as the moves quickly. The trigger speed on this camera is very fast, faster than anything I've actually used. I would say that in one seconds. No more lost photos due to slow trigger speed with this unit.
Using the camera is quite easy. The LCD screen and keyboard operation can be learned quickly and intuitively. There are plenty of options you some versatility, you can change the delay of one minutes to sixty minutes, and you can use to stop the theft of password information protecting your camera safe account.
Things I would change about the camera
This is a great unit. It comes in more than three pounds and the dimensions are quite large. It is approximately 10 inches 7 inches by 3 ½ inches. This does not affect performance in any way, of course, but it is a bit smaller. Some of the security offered by the infrared flash (other hunters in the area will not see the flash) is offset by the fact that you have this monster hanging from a tree. Unlike the functionally and worth a look.
