what is your 'golden moment'? What makes you feel really successful when in the field? ?
I know this is no longer hunting forum and I myself have no air soft or want to talk about gun vs. gun. What is a victory for you? If all I did was deer hunting rifle, I personally found it better and catching a salmon crowned the king of sport in my mind. Nothing was better! Then I started bow hunting and the use of game cameras. WOW what pictures are priceless. Actually harvests a buck with a bow he tops too. Last few years though I really enjoy my dogs. I always hunted dog but bought my own pups and trained to run Bobcats and Coons. They are strait seasond dogs now and catch everything I undertake. This is my 'golden moment'. We do not kill trees but we all we stretch a fair amount of skins for the auction. The pride I feel when these dogs hard to find one is priceless. It is hard work and I do not know how many years I can do in this rugged country. Till I can I will not be ...... What drives you? What is your king of sports?
You have a big question! Over the years I've done it all, and every thing I did was the golden moment for that time in my hunting with beagles was my life.Rabbit first golden moments. followed by a squirrel hunting with dogs and still hunting for them. Then the duck-hunting all types of pothole flooded timber when they shoot in the near future off after daylight with hundreds of open water blind hunting decoys. I have the sky turn dark with ducks in migration would hit it more like a hard cold front would push them from the north. How could this not a golden moment? I have the bayou waters explode with 2-3 lbs bass feeding on schools of shad. Another golden moment. I have tom turkeys strutting in the rays of the sun, more gold moments.I almost nothing but hunting deer with a bow these days-from the time I killed my first deer with the bow, it turned me into a fanatic.But the golden moments? They are where you enjoy doing something you love, and almost every moment spent in the wild, is a golden moment to be remembered and cherished forever.Enjoy your golden moments, and forget not appreciate every one of them.
