Taking digital pictures underwater (Canon A530)?
I have a Canon Powershot A530 digital. It is not waterproof, or can I add additional lens or similar accessories. I take great nature photos, and I'm still getting used to what you can do with this camera (it's a bit confusing). The PowerShot A540 can attachments for specific needs, NOT available in the mine. Is there any tricks for taking a picture of fish or just under the water without the gloss? Can I do anything to rig the glare? If you have other tricks for taking pics annoying, do not hesitate to leave them. Thank you.
If I understand you correctly you want to take pictures through a water surface. Light is polarized light reflected off water, so if you have a polarizing filter should be able to get rid of the glare. You must turn your polarizing filter and checked by the viewfinder in order to get results. It will also cut glare photos via Windows. The first link is for physics, the other polarizers and with photography. If you want to take pictures underwater with your camera under water, they used to sell waterproof camera bags, allowing the camera to seal against water, but still able to buttons on the plastic. But that's another story ...
