Make sure you choose the best Black Bear Hunting Outfitter For Your Hunt

It is certainly no shortage of Black Bear Outfitters to choose from because of the popularity of black bear hunting. For this reason it is very important that you do your homework if you expect a bear hunt to remember for the right reasons.

It's your hard earned money so take time and know what to ask, because you can be sure that not all are equal Outfitters. Know what to expect from the hunting adventure you order.

Here is a list to answer some important questions that you may not think in the planning of a black bear hunt. Be sure your study and I wish you the best hunt of your life.

  1. How many hunters per guide and many non-hunters are allowed?
  2. How many people per room? And get photos of accommodations, or at least a good description.
  3. I would like to know what the outfitter is going to be feeding during my trip. I have a special place that feeds me lobster and steak, together with a large hunting experience brings me.
  4. Bear Hunting is a dirty job. Know when a laundry.
  5. Know the arrival and departure times, along with the location of the pickup. The at the airport or you may need to rent a vehicle to get there. Do not leave it until the last minute to work out these details.

  9. What are the hunting departure and pick-up times and how long after dark is the last fighter picked up?

  11. The outfitter will be on site all week?
  12. Is the outfitter accommodations are available?
  13. How many hunters per guide per vehicle and leaving the site?
  14. If I harvest black bear in the early week what kind of recreation are available? (That is, fish, other boats, near the towns or cities, etc ...)
  15. What kind of driving range offers for both bow and rifle?
  16. If my weapon is not working properly, there is a local archery or rifle from the store nearby?
  17. Once I harvested my black bear, which will be registered?
    Who will cut the skin and the flesh?
    Is there a freezer on the site?
    Is there a local taxidermist and they do a price list?
  18. References of both successful and unsuccessful black bear hunters?
  19. Are there additional fees?

All of the above questions take time to answer, but the Black Bear Outfitter right to be happy with you one or all of these responses. Once you've found outfitter you feel happy and comfortable with, it's time to start preparing for your black bear hunt.

What can you do to better prepare for your Black Bear Hunting Adventure

You want to be as prepared as you can, so you have no unpleasant surprises on your bear hunt. Make sure the outfitter you have a list of important things Take for your week stay. Here are a few examples of things that have made me a better hunting experiences over the years:

  • Passport and a good identification of border officials. I was back home went one year because I have not my papers in order and it bummed me out for about one year.
  • Bug Suit (if hunting bug during the season) It is always better to have it with you that you would like.
  • Walkie-talkies are a good security.
  • The weather can change In a few minutes, so it's best clothes for all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc ... to bring)
  • Snack food and garbage
  • Cameras - A picture is worth a thousand words and much better than sharing your success story alone.
  • Compact foldable soft gun cases
  • Meat Cooler & Bags
  • Knife & Tool Kit
  • Non-perfumed soap, shampoo, etc ...

There is one last very important note state. Let your outfitter will send you a non-resident firearm declaration for you to prepare in advance. They take about 20 minutes to complete at home, but save time by custom and border officials. Remember that all guns will be removed from their respected cases, so do not be buried under luggage and hunting gear.
