hunting camera tripods
Will a bald eagle attacking a common Housecat?
It is the most amazing thing. We have a new friend in the bald eagle that visits every day. He is a teenager but still very majestic. I often go out with the camera and tripod when he appears. I can within about 30 meter from him sometimes and shoot some great video perches and fly from him. Some days he would sit on the fence outside the window and just watch us. I've seen him hunt rodents but not been able to add that even if it too fast. I wonder if anyone out there has experience with a bald eagle attacking or killing one Housecat. We have a Housecat but keeps her now, because our new 'friend'. The eagle is probably too small for the cat, but I think he is sizing her up. Any thoughts?
Bald Eagles are beautiful, magnificent creatures, but like all other animals, often unpredictable, instinctive, and dangerous. Eagles if they can catch a cat eats it as a live-meal is a meal to a live Bald Eagle, regardless the species. If you care for your cat, your best bet would be to keep her inside when the eagle comes through. I would not worry too much, but be careful, they are beautiful creatures, but they are still creatures, and she can be very dangerous. Other than that have fun with your new friend your lucky person!
