Choosing your new mobile phone

So you buy a phone - and you're definitely spoiled for choice these days. With hundreds of phones all tips market flood the market, even after screening out the phones outside your price range, there is still many phones to choose from. Here are a few tips that should apply to all mobile phone users in their choice of phone.

1. SMS and e-mail.
Let's start with the most obvious feature that every phone should have: simple text messages. E-mail is included in most phones today, though not strictly necessary, I never use my phone for e-mail. But if you're a heavy user, you You probably want this on your phone.

2. Speakerphone and headset.
I once decided against buying a phone because of the lack of speakerphone. If something you need both hands are doing, speakerphone is a great option for comfortable transportation in a long telephone conversation. In the same spirit, if you use your phone bluetooth headsets, makes it much easier conversations.

3. Accessories.
GSM users have few tasks that they would not think their phones do. What kind of accessories do you different choices available? Does each phone accessory that would make your life easier? This can only research, but the end result, your life much easier.

4. Camera.
I bet you were expecting it somewhere. Lot's of mobile phone users use their phone for taking pictures of these days, and let's not forget picture messaging. Personally I do not think my mobile phone to take many pictures, and I'm happy with my iPhone lesser cameras - but you would be different, and sure to check whether your camera phone feature is what you want. If you're big on your camera functions, you also want your phone has a decent job and a good flash video capabilities - my SE K800i has good photos, but pretty bad videos.

5. Internet Browser, WiFi.
This would not be so important a while ago, but after the iPhone, the internet is quickly becoming more and more important for mobile phones. Does your phone have a decent web browser? (As long as it can support Opera Mini, should just fine). Has WiFi? Not many older phones do, so this is an important function.

6. Other multimedia functions.
Want your phone to mp3's to play? If so, you can look at a deal with a beautiful memory. Radio addict? Choose a phone that supports FM tuning.

7. Bluetooth and infrared.
Although infrared is not widely used in mobile phones these days, Bluetooth is a must, and must come along with almost every new phone. Not only can you send and receive files, but is also required for the bluetooth headsets that I mentioned earlier use. The obvious exception is the iPhone Bluetooth, which can only use those bluetooth headsets and not to send / receive files - but it makes for in many other areas that we can overlook.

These tips should hopefully get you on the road to choose of a phone that you'll be happy with.
