Would infrared light shined on camera really affect the picture is taken?

Would infrared light shined on digital cameras or regular 35 mm film cameras affect the final picture of the result? I mean, I'm sure it would affect the digital, but I'm not so sure of 35mm film.

I think cameras have an infared light to filter.
