Philmont Scout Ranch?
I Philmont Scout Ranch this summer. Does anyone have any advice for the preparation of the stay, and things to keep in mind while I'm there? Also I would be able to take pictures on my trip. What would you recommend the best way to do this? Do I have a bunch of disposable cameras or should I take my digital one with extra batteries and store them in a waterproof case for protection?
Hello: With a long trip, you need to prepare in advance time. You must be in good physical condition, if you are not physically active, start now. Some long walks, simple exercises such as sit-ups, push-ups and pull-ups will be useful. Pack your pack with the gear you carry, and take some practice hikes on the weekends. You want your boots well broken before the trip, if you need to get new, started wearing them long before the trip, so they are properly broken in and look for potential spots blister. What images, go to the camera that you most comfortable with. Myself, I choose disposables, if you really want pictures of your crew mates. While the scenery is great, unless you are a professional photographer, you'll not be able to see the countryside capture, as well as postcards and picture packs that you can buy in the souvenir shop. HOWEVER, you will not be able to get photos from your friends at the gift shop, so within these images. Pictures of the crew at breakfast, navigate the trail, or after the rest day. Put the images you want to remember. Have the camera quickly and easily accessible, so you can capture spontaneous images. Keep on Scoutin "
