sony infrared camera filter
Sony A200K and Hoya R72?
Hey. I have a Sony A200 camera with an 18-70mm F3.5-5, 6 lens. I want to buy an infrared filter, Hoya R72 specifically. but I know not what they (the buy size is 50mm for example). Know someone that would fit my camera? Or if not, can anyone recommend one that will? Thank you!
What do you think the R72 will do? (This is a filter for use when shooting IR film) How do you plan to compose your photos? (The filter cuts off all visible light) You must have a UV filter for the front element of your lenses are fine just the same size. If you notice on the front of your lens, it tells you the filter size is 55mm, not 50mm. The small circle a slash through it tells you the filter on each lens size. You should know that your camera sensor has an IR-cut filter to prevent IR light striking the sensor, so think of. Your cut of all IR light, but entering your lens and the sensor accepts only visible light ... It will probably not do what you want. Take your camera and lens in a camera store and try setting and see what happens. Then you know for sure. Http: / / www.maxmax.com / IRCameraConversions.htm http://www.lifepixel.com/IR.htm
