Game Camera Hunting
Firearm in a radio-controlled aircraft?
Ok this might be a little off the wall, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who ever dreams of it. * Disclaimer * I do not plan on breaking any laws or anything illegal. I had a thought. I'm flying RC planes since I was like 14 and I was thinking about how cool it would be to put a micro-camera connected to a laptop and a very small lightweight gun that is .22 Derringer in the plane. There is no real practical use Perhaps this small game hunting? I guess you should "look into" the gun at the camera and laptop accuracy would probably be close to zero. SO forward to my question. Is this legal? All thoughts of your own on this? I am already well aware of the battle warships. My idea would be nothing like leaving a loaded gun in the woods to be. And yes, As with my thinking I would have full control of the firing / target in this Senario.
It's an interesting idea and I doubt that there is a law against it. Mostly to have something done Before a law is promulgated against. I've never heard of someone actually firing a gun an RC aircraft. It does offer some interesting problems in their design a lightweight gun and firing mechanism, a means and an end to gun with a camera and a way to fly the plane, while the aim the gun at a target. Most likely, you would a person who as a weapons officer and another actually controlling the aircraft have. Just realize that not only the interesting problems in making it work, there are problems to be addressed regarding safety. You should not even think about actually putting such a thing in the air until you've worked all safety concerns. Still, it would be a hell of a lot of fun as you can get all the details worked out.
